ICRC offers a wide range of services to family and informal caregivers of adults with brain impairing conditions or those caring for frail, older adults. To be eligible for services the family caregiver must be a resident of Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo or Mono Counties. We also provide information, referral and educational services to caring professionals.
Specific services of ICRC may have additional requirements. Most services are provided at no charge.
ICRC staff will discuss with clients the various legal and financial issues relating to caring for an adult with a brain impairment. This may include planning for eligibility for public assistance programs, and identifying issues the client may want to raise with an attorney. If it is felt that a client would benefit from consultation with an attorney, he/she will be referred for ICRC legal consultation services. ICRC will provide a legal consultation with an attorney to assist families with the legal and financial concerns related to caring for an adult with brain impairment. This may include estate planning, methods to cover the costs of care and daily living, conservatorships, durable powers of attorney, patient's rights and insurance issues. (N.B.: Some restrictions on eligibility do exist.)
